  • The Parkway Theater is yet another unique component of Pittsburgh's cultural places I discovered recently while attending a featured event here. The theater is packed with hints of it's nostalgic past as it continues to focus on it's future self. The Community Reel Arts Center is overseeing the restoration of this single screen theater which will, hopefully, in turn help to develop the surrounding community. Regular movie screenings, special events, comedy shows, and theater rental proceeds, help contribute to the necessary funding. Bigger plans include the installation of the areas first brewpub inside a movie theater. Abjuration Brewing Company is spearheading the installation of this brewpub and will require major configurations of the theater to make it possible. I am looking forward to attending future gatherings and events here and encourage others to visit, appreciate, and support this Pittsburgh treasure as well.
