| - The dreaded homeowner event happened. It's July, it's after hours (7:30 PM), and my A/C stopped blowing cold air.
My wife had pre-screened for A/C repair companies on Yelp a few months ago in preparation for just such an event. (She's a planner, to say the least). She handed me a short list of two companies to call. I called one, and got their after hours recording so I left a message. I then called Gilbert Air, and a live human answered! She was very helpful (sorry I don't recall her name) and offered a same day appointment that was way past my bed time, or she said she could have someone here at 7:00 AM the next morning. I couldn't believe that a tech could come to my house at 11:00PM! We chose the 7:00 appt, loaded up the dog and an overnight bag and headed to a hotel. (Yes, my wife handed me a short list of hotels to choose from too)
Shortly after 7:00 AM Rob called, letting me know that he was a few minutes away. He was friendly, professional, and assessed the situation quickly. We chatted for a bit and he put me as ease explaining that the failure on my unit was VERY common. He gave me a quote which seemed on par with what I had found after doing a little research in the hotel room the night before. Of course I had him perform the work. He completed the repair in about an hour, and the bill was dead on what he quoted me. Great quality work, prompt, and courteous service!!!!!
Oh yeah.... by the way.... the other company called me back about 3 minutes after Rob left. I found that to be hilarious! I said, "no thanks, I just had it fixed by a more responsive company."
