| - We usually stay at their signature rooms which are nice. But this one is something else.
For the price you pay and the few issues i come across, we will never stay here again. Here we are checking in at midnight we would think, no line for checking in. Boy were we wrong!! Not only was it long, it took over an hour to check in!! With the crazy line, no one bothered to open a few more check-in employees?! Then get to the front and after all this they tell me, I'm sorry, we no longer have a king size bed but only 2 queens. So why would you rent out rooms that you don't have? This is over 1am now and we were just tired and sleepy to argue so we just took it. I even tried to check in with the app which doesn't even work. Such a long process with tons of questions just to get no email back when my room was ready. Useless app.
Next, she then says we now charge $10 for parking. In my mind, so what does the resort fee cover? The internet that barely works? The pool that is not opened? The fitness club that we wont be using as we are only staying practically by now less than 9hours? Does this make any sense to anyone? Anyway, so she asked if i would like to have to charged together now with the room or pay the $10 separate when we exit the lot. We charged it together which was good for 24hrs and guess what? As we exit, the ticket for parking was invalid and we had to pay again as we exit the lot. By this time, i am just so done with this. So now, i have to call the Hotel and request for a refund for one of the $10 charged twice now. If all this isn't enough, it took 4 employee reps passing me around. From "oh good question" then pass me to another which somehow ended me to a mandalay bay hotel rep then back which end up to wrong dpt to i am so done and yelled and this person to better not pass me around again and fix the problem. Which finally did about 25 minutes later! Guess I'm never parking here either!
Getting into the room, the rooms AC/fridge or whatever the noise is that goes on through the night was annoying. Ceiling above us was cracked with water/pipe stains on it. This is what the price you pay gives you?
So from long phone call wait for room rsvp, to horrific long checkin wait time, to horrible issues that come along the way to a horrible mediocre room for the price you have to pay + resort fee + parking fee etc etc. Enough said.
Not a bad place to hang out but to stay, no thank you.
MGM: If your going to charge for resort (which most are not used but forced to pay) + parking (even for staying guests) + more costly rooms then some other surrounding hotels, then people would expect better upgrades in some of the rooms, more employees to pick up phones without long wait times, more employees at the check in desk and train employees better so I wouldn't be passed around to someone else because they don't have the answer.
