| - I have been a frequent customer of Jac's for a few years now. I only have two "cons", and lots of "pros":
Cons:
1) The prices are a little high depending on what you order. There are some items that should not cost as much as they do, since the ingredients are basic and they'd be so simple to cook at home. But, I just don't order those items.
2) Bring back the weekend turnovers!!!! I'm sure the cinnamon rolls are great, but those turnovers were AMAZING.
Pros:
1) Gluten free friendly: my mother and sister both have celiac disease, so we normally go to Jac's when they're in town. Jac's is truly phenomenal for people with Celiac disease. Gluten free bread for sandwich or eggs benedict, gluten free frier for frites and onion strings, gluten free soups, cider on tap....it's just heaven for those of us dealing with Celiac disease. THANK YOU JAC'S!!!
2) Atmosphere: So cozy, so warm, relaxed but refined.
3) Drink list: great and unique tap list (which can be hard to find in Madison). Ii usually only order beer so I can't comment on wine or cocktails (bloody mary needs a little work, however).
4) Food: truly great food. I love so many things on this menu....the warm spinach salad, the mussels, the frites...mmmmm...so great. Just great bistro, comfort food.
