  • I stumbled onto this store by chance. I have heard of the brand, but didn't know we had an outlet store here in Vegas. I was on my way to Cole Haan, when I saw this and thought I'd check it out. The Johnston & Murphy outlet store doesn't seem to have many steals on men's shoes. There is a clearance wall, but the pickings are slim, especially as you get to the clown sized shoes like I am limited to. But you still have a lot of choices on regular prices shoes. The real deals seem to be on the small clearance wall, the men's socks and belts, and the women's shoes. I did snag like 6 pairs of dress socks for $35. That was a decent deal in my book. The salesperson, Molly, was really helpful and looked to help me right away upon entering. I love good service, and she went above and beyond. I told her what color and what style shoe I was looking for, and she went hunting around the store. I couldn't find anything I liked in the clearance area. But it helped, having a specific idea in my head of what I wanted. I conveyed to her what I was looking for and she was on a mission. She found a great pair that I liked, but they didn't have the brown that I wanted in my size. She offered to order it online and let me try on the same pair, but in a different color to see if they were comfortable and fit right. The shoes were incredibly comfy so I told her I wanted to check out Cole Hann and if they didn't have what I wanted, that I'd be back to place the order. She wasn't pushy at all and said she'd be there to help if I came back. The Cole Haan outlet store had crap for selection, so I came back to Johnston & Murphy a while later after checking out some other shops. She was helping another customer when I came back, I picked some dress socks while I waited and as soon as she was done, she helped me right away. She placed the order and told me when I should expect my shoes and that I'd get a shipping confirmation pretty soon. She also gave me her card and said to call if I had any issues or other questions. All in all, it was a great experience for something as mundane and tedious as shoe shopping, and I'd return to this store for my next pair. I think I need some new black ones sometime soon.
