| - I absolutely love the concept and their mission statement.
We stopped yesterday an hour before they closed. The gentleman was very friendly and helpful. His service was a 5.
The location is great, we haven't had a new bakery open in quite some time and it'll be nice for people to be able to stop for a sweet treat after dinner or while shopping.
The store is bright, clean and trendy.
However, I have to give them an overall 3 because I felt that the baked goods were average tasting at best. They were beautifully decorated and looked absolutely incredible, but we were disappointed in their taste.
Since it's a bakery, I feel like the actual baked goods are most important. We purchased a cake batter cupcake. It was impressive looking, but was very dry and didn't seem fresh. I ended up eating the sprinkles and throwing the rest away. We also purchased a small sugar cookie that was cut out and decorated like a pumpkin, a small m&m and a pumpkin pecan. Nothing had much flavor and nothing seemed to be fresh. We threw them all away. My total was $8.99.
The baked goods are extremely expensive. I don't mind paying $4 for a cupcake, but I expect it to be fresh and flavorful when I do. I don't mind paying a little extra given the mission of the business, but I'd hope that the quality of the product justifies the price point.
They have the location, they have the atmosphere, they have the customer service and they have beautiful desserts. The only missing piece and delicious tasting dessert.
