| - I didn't think Uncle Tetsu's lived up to the hype (both cheesecake and matcha ice cream), but to me, Woofles & Cream does.
We had the cookies and cream waffle with matcha green tea ice cream. The waffle was pretty good. They were perfect: left to cool until they're crisp and crunchy. The way egg waffles should be. Side-eye Pacific Mall vendors that fling soggy egg waffles into paper bags immediately after they're done.
The lap cheung and seaweed waffle tastes strange. I thought I'd like it, but it was bizarre.
The ice cream was surprisingly good. Very smooth, which is not something I really care or notice in ice cream ever, but it was immediately noticeable. The flavour was great, so far superior to Uncle Tetsu's ice cream that they're not even comparable.
My parents and my grandparents were both very impressed.
We also ordered another ice cream on the side by itself in a cup and I noticed that you get quite a bit less ice cream than if you get the waffle and the ice cream together. As you can see in other Yelper's pictures, the tall ice cream kinda leans against the waffle, which allows them to give you more without it falling out of the cup.
The wait is the worst part. Even with only one or two people in front of me, I've had to wait 20-30 minutes, which is far too long. They need to improve that. But otherwise, this place is really great and I'll definitely be back.
