  • This Hotel is crap! My parents and I had a flight to Cleveland on Tuesday so we booked this hotel the room we got (it was on the 3rd floor) was very disgusting the room had a very bad smell, the room was very dirty -- beds were not made, stains everywhere, the bathroom was not very clean. There was no milk for breakfast, juice tasted old for breakfast --overall breakfast was alright. My mom went told the lady, Ashley that she was unhappy with the room. Ashley decided she will give us an upgraded room for decent price for our next stay which would have been on Saturday night. Before leaving on Wednesday Ashley told us that we need to "Call BEFORE 6 on FRIDAY to CANCEL the room-- if you do NOT cancel than the room will be reserved for you and we will CHARGE your credit card" We agreed and left. My parents and I did not contact to cancel the room we wanted to have it since we were driving from Niagara Falls, ON to Cleveland on Saturday night because we have a flight on Sunday Morning. On Saturday night we called the hotel to just confirm that are reservations were still in place THE STAFF GAVE AWAY OUR ROOM ! Dawn, one of the staff members, said because we didn't call they assumed we were not coming and gave our room to someone else, than she proceeded to tell us that we didn't have a reservation (BULL SHIT) we did I was with my mom when she made the reservation in the morning along with my dad. Dawn than told us that they are fully booked and no room but than offered a room with 1 bed for 3 people and wanted to charge us extra for that so how can there be no rooms available and all of a sudden there is 1 room. DAWN MUST HAVE BEEN LYING! DAWN AND MARY BOTH VERY RUDE TO my mom when she was talking to them on the phone. Howard Johnson near Cleveland Airport made a mistake on our room and than they blame us for it. VERY RUDE and they show no respect. I also forgot to mention when we arrived at the hotel none of the staff members acknowledge us no one said hi or anything its probably because the staff had a shift change but how hard is it to say "Hi, if you can give us a minute we will help you?" it seemed very difficult or how hard is it to help customers first than proceed to the shift change. The only good thing was the airport pick up-- picking us up from the airport and dropping us back to the airport. The was only on staff member that was nice it was the lady who took us to the airport in the morning. No, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
