I came here for a haircut today, after seeing the good reviews on yelp. I called up the salon at 12.30pm to book an appointment and they said there was a slot available at 2pm. I arrived around 10 minutes before 2pm and was promptly greeted. The receptionist took my coat and gave me a gown to wear.
I sat down and then met the stylist, Erin. He took time to listen to what I wanted and answered all questions that I had. Was great to be able to tell him, in English, exactly what I wanted to achieve. Really good as my Cantonese won't stretch to explaining a haircut. Erin was able to adapt what I wanted. He gave his input about what he thought would suit my look, hairtype and lifestyle. Most hairstylists don't really give much advice but Erin was very knowledgeable. Another great thing was that I wasn't put under any pressure to colour, perm or purchase products. Erin didn't try and up sell other services to me. My regular stylist is always telling me to get a body perm, colour my hair or purchase expensive styling products.
The hair washing was fine. Only gripe was the neck massage, it was a bit too much pressure for my liking. But I'm sure that other people will like it.
My haircut came out lovely and It was only $45, much cheaper than where I normally go. I will definitely return here again. I haven't found my 5 star salon yet because all stylists blow dry my hair flat and I hate it. I always have to go home to restyle it and add the volume back.
