  • Needed new tires for my SUV and decided to switch up from my regular location to this one. In retrospect, I definitely should have made the switch sooner, because I got nothing short of fantastic service. The biggest component of that fantastic service, without a doubt, was Chris, currently the Sr. Assistant Mgr. at this location. When he moved from the location on 101 and 59th Ave., I decided to move with him and give this new shop a try. I won't go into the reasons here, but Chris was the one bright spot at that location, so it just made sense to follow him to this new one. I certainly wasn't going back to the other location if he wasn't there to work with. True to form, I was immediately recognized and given stellar service from the moment I walked in. Chris went out of his way to give me the best deal he could on replacing my Michelin tires, which had once again failed to live up to the warranty. I'm sure part of that is the vehicle, being a heavy SUV, and likely part driving style, but for top dollar, I expected more. Michelin has since redesigned this particular tire, so Chris hooked me up with the newest version and we're giving that a go. Time will tell if there's any better wear to the tire, so we'll see. I was able to get a fantastic pro-rate due to the warranty, and was out the door for about half what I thought it might be sans warranty. Additionally, while some folks at others shops have given me grief on driving habits, rotation frequency and uneven wear, Chris gave me zero hassles and genuine customer service. No up-selling, no BS, the way business ought to be conducted with repeat customers (I've been buying tires with Discount for over a decade, on multiple vehicles). I will say that parking at this spot can be a bit of a challenge, especially if you go around lunch or early afternoon, due to the fast food joints that share the adjacent parking lot. My advice would be to hit them up while most folks are busy working and before they get their lunch cravings, otherwise you will find yourself in gridlock. I definitely would not hesitate to return to this location and will always ask for Chris. I have never experienced better customer service from anyone at any other Discount Tire location.
