  • UPDATE - 4/19/2015 The dealer promptly responded to my review stating that the general manager wanted to speak with me. As requested, I provided my contact information, and have heard nothing from them in 2.5 weeks. I'm curious about how many people actually talk to somebody when they write a negative review and are told that "Don Hanson wants to speak with you about your experience..." It seems pretty evident that BMW North Scottsdale doesn't care about resolving issues, they just care about how they are perceived. PREVIOUS REVIEW Another day, another unsatisfied BMW North Scottsdale customer. I purchased an extended warranty for my 2011 BMW 335d through BMW North Scottsdale and considered cancelling it several months later. I contacted the dealer's Finance Manager, who advised me that if I were to cancel the warranty, I would receive a full refund because my original warranty was still intact (the car was less than 4 years old and had less than 50,000 miles on it.) Hearing that I would receive a full refund, I opted to cancel the warranty. I submitted all the necessary paperwork and was told that I would receive a refund check in six to eight weeks. Three months passed without a refund check or an update on its status. We contacted the dealer to follow up and learned from another finance manager that the paperwork had never been submitted. Not a huge deal. We filled out new paperwork and, a few weeks later, received a check from BMW North Scottsdale for an amount that was $420 less than the price we paid. When we asked what the difference represented, we received several confusing/illogical responses until we were eventually told that the refund check was for a pro-rated amount. At that time, we were informed by a third finance manager that an extended warranty begins the moment the contract is signed and not upon the expiration of the original warranty. This directly contradicts what the dealer told me before I cancelled the warranty. I made multiple unsuccessful attempts to resolve this issue through the finance department, as well as the general manager of the dealer. I thought I was very reasonable with my proposed remedy, which was to either reinstate the warranty or refund the entire purchase price. Nonetheless, nothing happened. As it stands, I currently have no warranty on the car and 420 less dollars than I began with. Basically, I paid $420 for nothing. Thanks, BMW North Scottsdale.
