  • I rarely eat fast food but when compelled to do so, it's usually a salad at Zaxby's! Today's experience was truly special but for a reason other than the food. Yes the salad was a generous portion of iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes/veggies and chopped chicken and refreshing ice tea. The speed with which our food was delivered was "fast" as in fast food. Deserving of 3 stars. But what truly made this experience special was a young man working the front of the store. His name is Matt and he did a fine job keeping the eating area clean. But he went a step further greeting each Guest with a sincere "Hello"! He inquired "how's your meal?" and "can I get you anything?". In his unique way, Matt was able to put a smile on each face and subtly transform a hot, hectic Friday into a calm relaxed dining experience. The world needs more Matts and this Zaxby's has created a unique role for their "Maitre'D" better referred to as their ZAMBASSADOR! Stop by on a Thursday or Friday and say hello to Matt....it will make your day! PS: oh yea......have salad!
