We set out on a Vegas evening with an idea of having steaks in our minds and better yet in our bellies. I had heard that this place had replaced the Michael Mina American fish restaurant and had seen some photos that had me interested for sure. First off this place is gorgeous on the inside with lovely fresh flowers everywhere and a classy European bistro feel. The other yelpers were speaking truth in that this is a noisy place which can feel exciting at night if you have a loud group of friends but maybe not a good place to catch up with older parents constantly yelling 'what?'. While we looked at the menu we realized there was far more than steaks that looked good to us and we decided that the three of us would do a French style tapas and have a bunch of dishes to share that way we could taste a lot without over stuffing ourselves. I had to ask the waitress to describe the fantastic and interesting way they do their macaroni & cheese because the photos from yelp make it look like a grilled slice of honeycomb that is hard to wrap your brain around but she says they use long noodles and bundle them together. It was my goal to order this dish and yet we were too full to. We really enjoyed the mussels, the oysters, the bone marrow the onion soup with the deluxe options of oxtail and truffle (we decided not to get the egg). We were having trouble navigating the wine list and so our server sent over sommelier who was a very knowledgeable young woman with wine stained mouth I say this NOT to be disparaging but to include the tidbit that she really is doing the work of drinking and talking about wine and she's doing it well. She was cool! She suggested a very nice cinsaut that went quite well with everything and was at a perfect temp just a bit chilly. We tasted several desert wines before deciding on a Michael Mina wine that was Riesling and Chardonnay desert mix. It was all fantastic! Will most assuredly be back soon and often!
