  • We have been with Direct TV for 13 Months. The reason i know that is, we tried to cancel today and they said we had 11 months left on our contract. it will be 220.00 to cancel it. Oh the reason we want to cancel... Channel 5 NBC in Utah has been cancelled. because they are having some kind of contract dispute with the local stations. It has been out for at least 2 weeks, maybe more. Foot ball starts tomorrow and wow is it going to be bad in our house without football... They offered to give us 10.00 a month until they get it figured it... Gee thanks!! They have you over a barrel, you can pay to get out of their contract.But they don't have to abide by their contract to provide local TV service, we should be able to cancel if they don't deliver what we signed up for.!
