  • I came here with my bf about a month ago. It was a late dinner but there were plenty of other people dining there as well. The waitress was odd but kind. Lingering a bit too long one minute and then not being there the next. I asked if it was possible for my bf to have a meal from the 4 course menu put into the place of one on the 5 course menu. The waitress said the chef would be unable to accommodate that. This instantly ruffled our feathers. What chef, who already has a meal listed on the menu, is unwilling to accommodate a guest who dislikes fish and lamb? (Those were the only two main courses on the 5 course menu). My bf shrugged and was resigned to knowing he wouldn't like his main course. The waitress, seeing this, did nothing. Honestly, the only reason this place is getting any stars is because of the sunchoke soup with apple relish, the sturgeon, and the apple cannoli. The rest of the meal was just okay, while the opera cake with blood orange was really bad. But those three dishes I previously mentioned were really amazing. I felt that the lamb dish would've been elevated to another level if they had added the apple relish to it. Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant that has potential to be really good. But I highly recommend that the chef learns to take substitutions, especially if it's something that is already on the menu. The waitress could also learn to speak on behalf of her customers rather than think, "It is the way it is."
