I have taken my car to these guys for the past few years. They sold me a battery and my car kept not starting so I had to have it towed. They first said it was the distributor cap and wires, which I had them replace. The battery they sold me was bad, TWICE. Once again it stopped working so I had it towed and they told me that oil was leaking from the valve gasket and ruined the distributor. $750 later, I drive the car for 10 days and it stops again. I took it back and Pete, the owner said they would look at it at no charge since they just did all of the work. I had previously asked for an estimate to fix the antenna and they quoted me in writing $55. I decided to have them fix the antenna while it was there. First they called and said it would now be $130 for the antenna. My husband went to pick it up, they found nothing wrong with it but charged an additional $100 for checking it out after I was told it would be free. Who does that? I have never had a mechanic that did work and charged you without permission. Also, they did not honor their written quote for the antenna. Not impressed. In one instance they say they had a tool that can easily check the battery and they saw it was not being drained, next they say they spent 5 hours checking it out. Regardless, they are shady.
