Can I call it home yet?
Not quite but I think this plaza holds a lot of promise. There are several restaurants, Thai and Vietnamese and of course a boba, a yogurt shop and a nail supply store. This is about as authentic as it gets. Kudos to the people who named their Pho restaurant unPHOgettable. That's quite clever. *Please note sarcasm.
I went here today for the Tet Festival which was a huge failure but that's aside the point. Driving up, there were lots of signs of COMING SOON for dim sum and more Vietnamese food.
I did walk by the grocery store and thought about going in until a huge whiff of stink warded me off. Smelled like sewage backup.
I hope Mekong a lot of success but for now I think it still has a lot of work before it can make it's way up to a 4 or 5 star plaza.
