| - This is the restaurant I eat at the most because they offer vegan gluten free options, so I have a lot of experiences that go into this review. This is the most inconsistent restaurant I've ever eaten at. When it's good it's great, but about half the time what we get is not good. For instance, today we ordered four items for take-out that we've eaten at least five times each. The yam chips, which are sometimes an addictive combination of crispy edges and chewy centers were totally burnt and inedible. We've ordered the tofu, beans, and veggies wrap probably six times. Sometimes it's flavorful and a large portion, other times it's not flavorful, then other times it's a tiny portion, and again other times it's mostly lettuce and sprouts. When it's made right it's totally delicious, but we can't count on it. The vermicelli has been fairly consistently good the four times we have ordered it. The falafel balls have a good flavor and the condiment bar has pickles which Americans don't usually realize is always an option in the Middle East, where I'm from. You also get a nice variety of veggies in most dishes. The people who work the counter are great. So they certainly do a lot right! Perhaps they just need to train all their cooks to be consistent with the recipes and how they put a dish together. We will probably skip this place for a while and hope it comes together by the time we stop in again. I hope it will because I love what the restaurant stands for, and the Valley has a pathetic showing for vegetarian food and can't afford to lose Tsom!
