| - If you like bed bugs, this is the place for you.
My daughter and I booked a room here for a night after hiking at nearby National Parks.
The check in was easy enough, using mobile check in but later I saw an extra 50 charge added to my room, taken out of my account. When I inquired, they told me with mobile checkin they automatically take 50 out for incidentals. I was pissed that they didnt notify me of this. 50 is not much but it is the principal, especially after pre paying for the room, resort, and parking fees.
Anyway - up to our room. It was decent enough. UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING WHEN WE FOUND BED BUGS ON top of the bedspread (see pic and video).
When I called down to the front desk to let them know - they were nonchalant and aloof and didnt seem too concerned. This is sooooo gross. We were worried sick we were taking bed bugs with us in our suitcase home, which I have heard is really hard to control once they are in your home.
We booked services at the spa. We both received massages which were horrible. My 7 year old could have given me a better massage, I am sure.
The pool closes at 6. Why??? it is 113 degrees out, and we are charged a resort fee, so open the pool.
Parking was easy but it was 10 a day. Good location.
No fridge or microwave in the room.
I was surprised by the lack of just basic maintenance and cleanliness. The windows and doors were filthy and fingerprints and handprints were all over all day long. Does no one take any pride or do routine cleaning? It isn't Disneyland but come on......
Everything in the hotel is expensive, water, food, etc. There are very few healthy choices.
This hotel is showing its age, the employees seem disinterested, and the hidden charges are infuriating. Pick another hotel.
