| - This place is pretty cool! I would be more in the range of 3.5 stars, but unfortunately the bathrooms kind of knock it down to 3 rather than bumping it up to 4.
While walking around the Fremont area last Saturday night (I had never been and was visiting local friends), we decided to head down to Container Park for food since there's a variety of places. There weren't really as many options as I was expecting - the whole place was smaller than I had imagined based on the descriptions my friends gave on the car ride to downtown, but I'm still really glad we went.
A couple friends got hot dogs and one other and myself went to Big Ern's BBQ (which I'll review separately). Luckily, it was around 10:30pm and we were able to get in just before the restaurants closed at 11.
I'd like to come back sometime earlier in the evening, since a lot of things were closed (like the candy store, that bummed me out a lot!). But the toy store was great and the whole thing was pretty cute, from the all-ages treehouse that we heard a few slightly drunk adults playing around in to the little stage which would be great for small concerts.
I'll walk to a nearby hotel or casino though for the bathroom. I only needed to wash my hands of sticky BBQ sauce, but it was reminiscent of like a public park bathroom which, while clean, contrasted with the cool, hip, stylish aesthetic of the shipping-container-building-material-of-the-future-vibe right outside.
