| - I never thought I'd be writing a review on the RTA because I never thought I'd TAKE the RTA. I was always someone that felt like a cool chick driving to work with my shades on, trying to make it to work the fastest way possible...and then fighting my inner rage along with all of the other commuters doing the same thing. Now, I drive my car less than 5 miles to this rapid station, walk my butt up a flight of stairs and wait inside the warmth of the building until the rapid shows up. I've been taking it for a few weeks and it has been on time EVERY single time. Every time! I've never had a problem with the station or buses being dirty. Full disclaimer: I've never bought a ticket at the station because I use the mobile app to buy them...if you have the opportunity to do so, I highly recommend. It's so easy!
Update: As of this morning, 11/7, the rapid between 117th and Tower City is shut down due to track repair. BUT, the awesome RTA staff has supplied an endless amount of buses (labeled 66R) that go from 117th to Tower City as to not disrupt the morning commute that much. And, this bus is FREE!! If you get on the rapid before this station, you'll still have to pay for your ride to 117th, but when you get off and get on the 66R bus then you're good to go. One amazing perk is that if you normally catch the rapid at this station and take it downtown then your entire ride is free until the track is back up and running. I mean, seriously, you're telling me that I can avoid putting miles on my car, have a relaxed and not road-rage-filled morning and ride for free? OK YES SIGN ME UP THANK YOU! This repair is only going on for about a month and then the rapid should be back up and running as good as new! :)
