| - Had a coupon for a moisturizing treatment, haircut, and blowdry. Value of these services was $80.
Yay:
-offered beverages right away;
-good service;
-place was easy to find, and in a neighbourhood that had lots of shops (good if one arrives too early for an appt);
-Ryan, the hair stylist they assigned to all coupon ppl, was a capable stylisth, and decent conversationalist;
-nice clean salon with good amount of natural lighting;
-wow - offered chocolate mousse while hair was being cut? *yay!*
I asked if this was the norm, and he said that they offer clients snack on a regular basis. Oh? :)
Hey:
-offered to be let in 15 min. earlier, but when I got there the stylist wasn't ready so the appt. started at my original time;
-cut hair bits were left on my neck. When asked for them to be removed, exposed skin area with cut hair was blowdryered off - leaving many small blunt hairs permeated my tank top's fabric -- :P I really don't like the feel of ANY of my hair being under my clothing!
Would I go again? Overall, a good experience. But living in another area of TO, I can go to http://www.yelp.ca/biz/seefu-hair-studio-toronto and pay $35 for a decent hair cut + shampoo, plus they massage your shoulders.
No frills kind of place, compared to Evoke, but then again, you're not paying extra for the same cut.
