First time here for a pedicure and I'm in love! My technician An(that's her name, just two letters) is super friendly and professional. She sat me down and explained different types of pedicure from their pamphlet after her colleague explained which colours I can choose from the shelf. FYI I went with the essential pedi ($35) and it's such a great value for the following two reasons.
First, the entire spa is EXTREMELY clean. Although their furnishing and flooring is almost all white, I don't notice any dusts or dirt laying around. I'm a bit germophobic to begin with, and this is the very first location in Toronto that I found using disposable plastic films for their foot tub. Also, their tools seem to be professionally disinfected and come in individual packages for each customer. If you're someone that gets stressed to the point that you bring your own tools to the spa(like I've been doing), this is the spot for you!
Second, the professionalism under such a great price. I called to book my appointment and I also noticed in store how they respond to phone calls very quickly. There were two other girls trying out shellac for the first time and the other technicians also seem very patient to get to know their preferred styles. Back to my own service, although An has been at this location for less than a year, I could tell that she's very experienced. My deadskins around the nail bed are very carefully trimmed while my polish are applied without any spills.
Overall, I would recommend my friend BAR Nails Spa and I would be coming back whenever I visit Yorkville.
