| - Goat in a Boat = very good
Mac and Cheese = pretty decent, definitely better than the diner stuff
Creme Brulee = AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Nice selection of beer
The menu is pretty obnoxious, but the prices are reasonable. Had deck seating so can't really comment on the inner-decor, however the deck was nice and large, service was prompt, and only a few loud cars driving by. The parking for this place is horrible. DO NOT park in the adjacent lot or you will be towed; street parking only.
Food: There are quite a few veggie-friendly options. We ordered the Goat in a Boat appetizer. Pretty tasty--a concoction of feta and roasted red peppers. It came with warm pita bread to dip and if I were to come back here, I wouldn't hesitate in ordering it again. As for the main course, my friend ordered the falafel which he seemed to like, and I ordered the mac and cheese. This mac and cheese is supposedly very large and famous. I wouldn't necessarily agree with either of those labels. It is a normal bowl size full, and the sauce has a slight kick, but I wouldn't claim it to be anything too too special. However, it was good, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce wasn't too runny; I would probably order it again. $11 something for a bowl is kind of hefty though.
Dessert: This is where it all went wrong. I am a huge fan of creme brulee and this is probably the worst I've eaten. It comes in a boat-like dish with a very shallow amount of custard. The sugar was torched poorly, the custard wasn't cold...cause there wasn't enough of it to not be affected by the torch... and ugh... a total disappointment. Not only was it prepared improperly, it just didn't taste good. I have no idea how it is a "Harris Grill Favorite." I did hear from someone else that their oreo something? is excellent.
Side note: Bacon Tuesday is pretty bomb, but don't expect crispy bacon.
Overall, this place was good. I wouldn't say it's wonderful, like I've heard from many others, but I wouldn't not recommend it either.
