| - Mongolian BBQ is one of those fun restaurants that really allows you to completely customize your meal. You pick any ingredients that look appealing and they cook it up for you. They offer many different meats (shrimp, calamari, scallops, duck, chicken, pork, red meat), vegetables (pretty much every veggie there is), pastas, sauces, and spices. They combinations are really endless. When you choose all of your toppings, in the portion size of your own choice, they cook it up for you and send you back to your table with a personally developed concoction to try.
While it is a fun experience, the truth is that you're paying guys $15 to make you a stir-fry that you can make just as easily at home. The food here doesn't suck by any means because they give you tons of fresh ingredients and you get to make anything you want out of them. However, you're not likely to have the culinary experience of a lifetime here. It's likely not going to be any different than something you whipped up at home (that it, if you cook.)
I went here for a dinner celebration with work, and they were able to accommodate our huge group of 20 without a problem. We had two servers who were very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is casual and fun.
Yet, when it comes down to it, I likely will not go here again. I just don't see the point of spending $15 on this when I can make the same thing at home in my pajamas.
