  • It's been a few years since I talked about Rum Runner. At this point, it's synonymous with "Badger" so I'll call it that moving forward. It's still your typical dive bar. But you know what? It's my home away from home. I still feel like I'm back in the midwest when I go here. This place does bring the "cheers" vibe to me. The biggest reason why I upgraded this to 5 stars is because the bartender quality is superb. Melissa and Shannon are top notch and I haven't even come close to the quality of service I get anywhere else. They pay attention to when I need a drink, they don't force small talk and for me, that's a big win. Just let me drink and play video poker, easy peasy.
