Was somehow accidentally thrown into a separate customer's huge Roaring 20's "Flapper" Costume Party- we had separate reservations and (long story short) the host messed up, putting my wife and I into this crowd of people, many of which bearing the title "Great Grandparents." It was one of those "old people" parties. I knew they were out there, I just never saw one before. It was awesome, I can't wait to do that when I'm older- and that's precisely the reason it was so awkward. We were clearly strangers in this huge group.
The Queen Bee of the group has huddled with some of her friends, they're gawking- pointing. Clearly confused on our being there.
Finally a busser comes by with water and chokes on the palpability of the awkwardness. He asks what the hell was wrong with us, and after realizing it was all just one big misunderstanding, tells us that we can move to another area. We ended up moving, and having one of the best meals we've ever had in our lives.
Fleming's cheese potatoes are one of the best things I've ever eaten and the steak was comparable to my amazing experience at DK's Steak House in Waikiki Beach. The service was incredible and it was all worth it.
Would definitely recommend for special anniversaries, important business meetings, and fans of Flapper costume parties.
