  • I am checking out with a $25 item. And the guy says to me "If you sign up for a HD card you can get that free". I said ok, but it probably won't get approved, but he didn't say I had to get approved - just sign up. Which I did. Of course I was turned down and now I have that on my credit (that I am trying to improve) and the guy says "Customer service will look at this and if they see you can be approved they will give you a credit for the $25 item" Well this is not what he said - Sign up and get it free PERIOD!!!! What a farce! HD NEEDS to say "if you qualify for a HD card you will get this item free - PERIOD!!!! I have been a good patron to HD, but Lowes is just as close - I like them too. After this play on words - I am not happy with HomeDepot for being shady!
