I came in one afternoon to just browse. I ended up buying about $100 worth of product (of course). I've worked in the industry so I knew what I was looking for and really didn't need any help but I did have a few questions about certain products. I was only approached by one girl who was super helpful. I'm not sure if she was full time there because she was wearing a LancĂ´me jacket but she helped me with another brand & was able to answer my questions. She and the cashier who rang me out are the reasons for giving two stars. The cashier was great.. super friendly and talkative.
When I walked in there were probably 4 girls standing around the front with no clients and I was never greeted.. just looked up & down at. Again, no big deal because I'm pretty savvy with the products. Just the concept of being friendly and not looking at me like I have no business being there. I usually don't write reviews but after being in cosmetic retail for close to four years I know that's the first thing you get trained on. Like I said before, I came in just to browse and had no intentions of spending $100 so I didn't grab a basket. I made my way back up to the front, still looking around, and not one of the girls standing in their circle offered me one, even after they all looked at me.
I like shopping at ulta because there's a variety of products from high end to drug store all in one place but definitely not feeling the customer service.
