My relatively expensive Washer Model WFW94HEAW0 started collecting water in the liner. There was 2 litres of water left sitting in the liner after every load. The service man had been here twice, just looked at it and said it's normal to have that stinking sludge water setting in your rubber liner growing mold and mildew all over it. He suggested that I should empty the cavity manually after each use and wipe it down with disinfectants. (I'd have to buy and wet and dry shop vac for that - really not the answer I wanted to hear) The bill was reasonable, $129. Then he came back after I doubted his conclusion and said the same thing. he didn't even bother cleaning the clogged drain holes on either occasion. After my usual appliance guy told me that that is definitely NOT normal, I called whirlpool back again and demanded they send someone different who was not so lazy, since their work is guaranteed for 30 days. They refused, saying this was normal. Then I found a youtube video that showed me how to clean the tiny little holes where the water drains out. They can easily get plugged up by a piece of rice. Then I took a drill and drilled out those poorly designed drainage holes so that some water can actually get through them. I still have to lengthen the wholes into slots to match the liner, but that will be another day. In the meantime, I have my washer back.
