I won't be going back to Barnes and Nobles after this visit . I came to the store excited to get the latest edition of The Walking Dead novel by Jay B. Thanks to Christine at the customer service desk that excitement was ruined. She was dismissive, rude and clearly didn't want to help me. She didn't listen to what I was asking for and ignored me when I was giving her the information she needed to find the book I wanted . When I offered to give her a title to help, she became irritated and told me angrily that she was already looking.
I decided I no longer wanted her help . She upset me and I told her I'd find someone else to help me.
I found another person Sharon on the floor that was very nice and I asked for the series. I gave her a title in it and she knew right where it was without even looking in the system. I asked to speak to a manager and told her what happened and she apologized.
Afterwards I realized the book I wanted had to be in hardcover because it was too new and was not in that area. They only person I could see on the floor was Christine at the customer service desk so I just left discouraged, unhappy and without the book I was so happy to go get. An hour later I'm still upset and am posted a Yelp review for the first time.
I'll be shopping on Amazon for my books from now on.
