I was looking for a new Dr and went to see Dr. Nili Azhar based on Yelp reviews.
-I booked my appointment online for a physical and the application asks if you have any concerns. I listed concerns to discuss so Dr. Azhar would know my medical history and the medications I am currently on
- It was a typical appointment and I was told to come back for my bloodwork because I did not fast that day. I had an appointment to come back to complete the physical and go over my bloodwork results
- I received a bill for $300 for the physical. Very confused I called the office. Apparently because I listed concerns on the app, the office did not bill the visit as a physical....... I was told it would be considered insurance fraud to bill it as a physical because I listed concerns. What's the point of the physical if you can't tell your Dr what meds you are currently on??
-What's weird is that my husband went in for a physical and discussed concerns and he did not receive a bill like this.
I told them to cancel my membership immediately and advised them that they should really inform patients up front of their billing practices.
Very disappointed.
