  • This is the Target closest to home for me, but definitely not my favorite. It does the trick if I need to make a Target run, but it isn't the best Target experience. I much prefer the Target at Green Valley and Horizon Ridge or the one on Blue Diamond. The location is very close to the mall chaos. It can be convenient if I am already in the area, but a hassle to enter the chaos if I'm coming just for Target. The actual parking lot design is poor. Near the entrance there is an area that should be a main aisle, but it isn't. This encourages people to cut through in crazy directions and generally makes me feel like it's likely I will be in a fender bender caused by a rogue driver. The store also implemented locking carts recently. I learned this when I parked one aisle over from the main door on the right side of the building. My car wasn't even far from the main door and I couldn't take the cart all the way to the car. It made me embarrassed for the store, society, and generally sad to live near here. Locking carts? What does that say about this area? Not to mention the inconvenience of having to leave the cart an aisle over and make trips to my car with my merchandise. I've noticed the locking carts has increased the amount of stray carts since people won't battle the cart back to the corral once it locks up. The inside of the store is fairly organized, but has a grungy feel since it's an older store. A remodel could definitely be beneficial for this store. The store layout is the same as the other stores in the area making it easy to find merchandise. Most of the departments are similar in selection and size to nearby stores, but the grocery department has slightly less to offer. The cashiers are usually pretty friendly, particularly some of the regulars that have been here as long as I've shopped here. Lines can be long at peak times and they don't always call or have extra cashiers. I'm not sure Target still follows the 1+1 standard. This store definitely has room for improvement, but overall I can find most of my list here.
