  • Being a long time user of tanning beds, I had seen a couple dermatologists in the past for skin exams that barely took the time to really look at my skin. Dr. Abell was totally different! She took so much time on my skin exam and made me feel like she really cared about my health and making sure she didn't miss anything! She took tons of pictures and had me come back in a couple months to see if anything was changing which I loved and had not seen at any other office. When I returned for my three month follow-up she noticed a very slight change in a mole I hadn't even noticed, so she did a biopsy and it came back a severely atypical mole that was evolving into a melanoma! Dr. Abell truly saved my life and I'm so thankful!!! She is extremely knowledgeable/experienced and saw something that every other office brushed off as a normal mole. If you live in the Pittsburgh area I highly recommend seeing her for all your skin concerns!
