| - I visited this restaurant on Friday (12/11). The boyfriend and I were actually on our way to a Chipotle, but when we neared saw the line was ridiculous and I asked him if he just wanted to "drive til' we see something we've never tried before." Then, somehow the thought of Texas Roadhouse rolls sounded enticing. We got all the way to the parking lot where groups of people were crowded around waiting (it was Friday, afterall). Then, we spotted a little Thai restaurant across the lot and headed over.
We read a posted lunch menu outside and thought they were about $7 each we figured dinner would be more and we went in. I had the vegetable pad thai and it was really good. I had enough to have leftovers. The boyfriend got garlic chicken and said it was good, but for $10 he wanted more than just a tiny little amount. So, he said that if I go and "review about this, make sure to note it was too small for the price." So this is me...nothing it was too small for the price.
The place was almost empty other than two friendly seeming men having a conversation about how they spent their Thanksgivings. Also, the person running the place's daughter was there doing homework and all of us kept looking up to watch the kung fu movie they had playing quietly on a big screen TV (which I found just a tiny bit strange). The man who was serving us was nice, but kept to himself mostly. If the dinner time atmosphere (it was almost 7pm, by the way) is an indication of how ALL their business is, I doubt they'll last.. but then again, they may be a big lunch time place for employees in the area or something.
It was good. Will I go back soon? Probably not. But it was a pleasant experience.
