| - The Sheraton Centre Toronto is a solid middle-of-the-road option for travelers and tourists alike. Close to major attractions and businesses, it's ideal location makes for a great base to explore the city. Despite the location, the hotel has a pretty dated feel, even with our upgrades to club level rooms. The rooms and amenities are nothing to write home about, and the service was neither horrible nor was it exemplary. The hotel is about as average as it comes, and guests should be expect nothing out of the ordinary during their stay.
What I liked:
-Location was perfect: close to transit and easily walkable to major attractions like City Hall, Yonge-Dundas Square, CN Tower, and ferries to the islands
-Reception was extremely nice about giving us a better room than our reservation
-Check out was quick and efficient
-Club lounge breakfast and evening snacks were adequate, all while offering stunning views of the city and the surrounding area
-Our room had a perfect view of the CN Tower
-One of the better hotel gyms I've worked out at in a long time
What I didn't like:
-Hallways were very dimly lit
-Rooms and furnishings were dated
-Bathrobe was not comfortable at all
-Windows were incredibly dusty, which marred our amazing view
-Concierge was hardly there to provide recommendations of places to go and things to see around the city
Overall, I would probably only stay here again since I am loyal to the Starwood brand, but would definitely check out other properties in the area if given the opportunity.
