| - Let me start out by saying as a cuisine overall, I am not a huge fan of Indian food. However, when go with a group and two of your friends are LITERALLY from India and they are ordering for you based on your tastes, you get to try some new things. I hesitate to say this, but I actually enjoyed my dinner (don't tell my friend who for years, had to listen to me say how much I hate Indian food).
I ordered a glass of Pino Noir. Pretty solid wine for $9. Everyone else ordered an Indian beer that came in a huge bottle. The cold glasses for them were a nice touch.
We had a bunch of apps, from cauliflower to a spicy shrimp/veggie dish to samosas. The samosas came two to a plate and were shareable.
Next for dinner, I had a chicken dish that came in a bowl with a ton of sauce. I am pretty sure it was the Chicken Makhani, which was more of a tomato based sauce. Paired with rice and naan, it was delicious. The most unique item was the cherry naan.
I would recommend this place to anyone just looking for good Indian Food...period. They have a good size patio outside, and nice decor inside. I'm not going to full on say that I love Indian food now, but Blue Taj has certainly changed my mind.
