There's nothing more welcoming than entering any establishment fully stocked with mouse traps at the doors in the foyer. I realize that this location is near a wooded area but that is no excuse for vermin. Especially when their is food preparation involved; really makes me question the cleanliness of the entire store.
It is also highly embarrassing & frustrating when you have an EBT card and want to use a self check out register. A year or two ago, you could use EBT cards at any register but apparently that has changed. There are no signs of warning so you make your purchases as usual & wind up discovering that you can't use your card at all unless you go through a regular cashier. I don't like people, in fact I hate 80% of the people I encounter so I avoid an actual cashier at all cost. I was also (at the time) embarrassed to be on food stamps and liked what I thought was a hidden secret. So I had to have a manager void out my entire purchase and re-ring it at their stand, very loudly stating that I had a EBT card and (in her own way) that she was not okay with it.
...When it comes to organic variety- it's more like "They have an organic section"? No, seriously; other than a few selected produce items their are practically no organic food options. Their pharmacy is soooo overpriced! I've also purchased a maple & a snicker doodle cupcake for my husbands birthday- the frosting was salty, over powering and flavorless. I thought maybe it was just these cupcakes and have bought others since with the same result.
The only thing I like about this location is that their is a female employee who has an awesome fro-hawk, tattoos & piercings and they surprisingly allow her to display her style without the typical corporate cover-up bs that most of us unhappily ensure. Otherwise, forget it! I buy 75% of my organic items at Aldie's for 1/2 the cost and only shop here for items I can't get otherwise.
