I had hoped my experience with One Guard home warranty would be good. I was very disappointed;however, as they sent an unprepared technician to repair my air conditioner. The technician told me my AC unit had a leak however he could not find it because he lost his leak detector a week or so previous. He stated that he left it on his truck bumper and has not replaced it. Therefore, he could not add any Freon to my system. (This is one of the most basic pieces of equipment in AC repair). The technician told me I would be called the next morning and they would come out and repair my AC. I did not receive a call by noon so I called them. I was told they were unable to schedule me that day and I would have to wait another day to be put on their schedule. I called One Guard home warranty and told them about my experience. One guard was totally unresponsive and gave me several reasons why they could not send out another contractor. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they were all busy and unavailable but I would receive a call later. I never received a phone call, never spoke with the supervisor an never received a call from them again until I called and requested cancellation of my contract. I was told to put my request in writing and send it to their cancellations department. I did this immediately and later received a call from Lisa in customer service. I explained the situation to her and begin received reasons they could not accommodate me. Lisa was very well-trained in stock responses and maintained a friendly attitude throughout our conversation. She did tell me I would receive a refund check for my current months payment. I called another contractor at my expense and he responded within an hour repaired my air conditioner and charge me $80. In short, I am glad to be through with one guard home warranty. I just do not need the aggravation or non-responsiveness
