  • Rural King is a pretty awesome store for good ol' country folk (I don't really fall into that category, but I like to pretend every once in a while). The best part is definitely the free popcorn at the door. There's no better way to make me feel welcomed than free food. It's "America's Farm & Home Store"... one of the few places I know that you can get so much assorted stuff! The have lots of spices (and only $1 each), clothing (all your rugged essentials), gardening (vegetable garden anyone?), hunting gear, hardware, automotive supplies, pantry goods (lots of stuff for baking & frying), kitchenwares (lots of cast iron!), and plenty of food for your dogs, birds, or horses. Definitely check it out in the spring when they have all their little baby rabbits, ducks, and chickens for sale... so cute (and a little odd). Be careful though... when you see a large display of dirty potatoes, don't get this confused with Meijer... those are taters for planting!
