Walked in and I felt like I was back at home at my old country pub. Seriously, this place is a dive when you first walk in. But it does have it's charm. My friend and I chose a cozy place near the fireplace on a landing in these old, like old sherlock holmes kind of living room chairs placed around a glass table.
We were there for their beer and wings Sunday special. We ordered them well done, a little cristpy wing with 1/2 hot and 1/2 honey garlic with a pitcher of light draft! Yum! We downed them and laughed at how we just kept licking our fingers after they were gone. Soooo... we ordered a poutine, which was small potato wedges with deliciously sinful gravy and three cheese medley! Double yum!
Could be the cold weather, or the fact that I hadn't eaten all day or the fact that this place makes some damn good pub grub.
I was satisfied.
A little tough to find off Queen St, gotta go to the back of the building and down the slope. It doesn't look like much, but be adventurous and try something outside of the chain style restaurants. You will enjoy the country pub experience.
