  • I've been wanting to try Painting with a Twist for a loooooong time. I just haven't been able to convince any of my girl friends to go with me! So my husband finally suggested we do it as a "Date Night" activity. And it was perfect! We specifically looked over the calendar and chose a painting that appealed to both of us. We went with the Candy Cane Palm Tree on a Sunday night. We arrived at 6pm for a 6:30 class, which worked out well because we were able to choose our seats close to the instructor. We had time to drink and have a cupcake from GiGi's next door before the class started. From start to finish, the experience was awesome! I was super nervous, but our instructor Tara was funny & helpful when explaining the steps. She also have ideas for modifying the painting (mixing colors, different techniques, etc.) to make it your own. And I must say, our paintings turned out very different! It was fun to see how my husband interpreted the painting and vice versa, making it a perfect date night. We've already hung the paintings in our dining room as part of our Christmas decorations - love them! We will be returning customers for sure!
