Second stop of yesterday's Yelp Elite Tasty Tour!
I'd never tried a churro before (shocking, I know) and now I wonder how I've lived all these years considering my affinity for all things sweet (and fried).
First off, space is TINY and comprised of a few vendors.
We got to meet Pancho who is seriously one of the friendliest, most cheerful people I've ever met (which makes sense considering he serves up delicious goodness all day long!) He helped our tour guide give us a bit of backstory on his bakery and served each of us up a churro with one of three fillings (caramel, chocolate or condensed milk). I got caramel.
First bite, no words. So much yum. Rinse and repeat and repeat and repeat, leaving me wanting about a hundred of these crispy sweet sticks of fatty goodness.
Everything was clean, well lit, etc etc - irrelevant. Even if the place was a hole, I'd come back just to talk to Pancho while clogging up my arteries.
