| - Do not do business with Lee Ciminsky and or Brakes Plus. 1st off happy new year lee ok with that said lee did alot of work for me and my business. Ive paid him to put motors in transmissions and all around repairs. I used him for like 5 yrs due to both of us,being BBB members and the BBB encouraged us to support other members etc. Ok i will give you 1 story of over 2 or 300 repairs hehehehe ok well i paid brakes,plus upfront 2800 cash to put a brand new v 8 350 motor in my 1 ton dumptruck. Remember i paid him upfront 2800 cash that action is considered a no no no pay upfront. Ok well he promised to have me going in 3 or 4 days wrong 2 weeks later one of my employees said that truck is finished. I said no lee would call if it were he said,its,been behind thier shop for like,5 days so i called lee. He said yes its finished come get it ( this is why you dont pay upfront because the shop WONT CALL YOU TO SAY ITS FINISHED AND WILL PUT IT OUT BACK BEHIND THE SHOP UNSECURED with key in ignition brand new motor out back behind unfenced unsecured back of shop UNTIL SONEONE STEALS YOUR BATTERY THEN WILL TRIPLE HUMP YOU BY CHARGING YOU FULL PRICE FOR ANOTHER BATTERY 125. + tax VS MANNING UP AND ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY My truck came in with the battery in it. WHEN i go to get my work truck sitting behind shop vs making me money and i paid him 2800 for that treatment hehehe. he excitedly says lets go out back i want to show you break in process i said ok so we go back behind shop to get truck key in ignition truck not locked or secured anything i say damned im lucky it didnt get stolen lee he said,Whew then tried to start truck with a stupid puzzled look on his face no crank he gets out pops hood observed batteries gone we walk in to shop to get a battery he charges me like 125 for it after getting 2800 upfront leaving my finished work truck behind shop 5 to 8 days 2800 for new motor my work truck my way to make money and this Bozo parks it behind his shop 5 to 8 days after work completion allowing me not to be able to make a living thats how Lee rolls and treats his CASH CUSTOMERS worst part i go to smog it smog guy says no ,he cant smog it no smog pump i look and say wow and call lee he said i wasnt putting that old smog pump on that new motor i said it has to be there federal law requires it and i paid you 2800 to make my truck illegal and also asked why did you reuse old carburetor distributor radiator starter ???well i had to pay an additional 1700 to fix problem i had another shop to do this work i paid for the rails the smog pump diverter valve the pulley yes the pully original one had 2 grooves 1 grove for fan waterpump alternator belts the 2nd groove smog pump belt which it had previously on original motor lee short blocked it and,put a single groove pully on it 1 reason he sold my old,smog pump ripped me off made me buy a battery screwed me,period hes a ripoff dont do business if you message me i can tell you maybe 12 bad stories,about lee hes done to me Berry Ruffin the good 5 star reviews i see on here im guessing Lee and Jeff Ciminsky paid to write the way i see it your either a ripoff thieving crook or your not Period if hed rip a guy off with,6 trucks and a car cash,only alot of the jobs are 4 digits,meaning in the thousands i.e. 2,000. 2500. 4500. Hed rip any one off especially these good reviewers coming in for an oil change i have a fleet of trucks thats how a place like Brakes Plus survives by accounts Lees survived by ripping customers off bottom line in this economy running off cash only customers with fleets will get you closed down due to lack of income that shop always looks dead i drive by it everyday so if its dead (lee and jeffs trucks are always in the stalls they are thier best customers) how do you keep it going? By ripping off any and all customers,unfortunate enough to let you work on thier vehicle. Heres 2 more horror stories unfathomable #1 my Best Friend sent 2 of his elderly female neighbors to lee due to being busy and unable to fix the problems,himself 1 a lady with a cracked plastic fuel filter mind you a sr citizen this part cost 3.00 and take 5 min to repair this lady by lee was told you need a new motor she called my buddy who referred her & told him jj goes down to brakes,plus analizes car runs to autozone gets her a new fuel filter puts it on off she goes story #2 another lady sr citizen jj knew with a low battery he referred her to go down to see lee ok lee unhooked her starter she bought new battery but car wouldnt start. Lee advised you need a new starter she too called jj. Jj came down looked under car saw starter unhooked came in told lee he said oh my mechanic,must have unhooked it they hooked starter back up and voi la car ran you do not have to unhook starter to install a new battery those are sr citizen woman anyone that disputes this can message and or call me i will give you jjs number and he can give you more details.
