Get a room far from the elevators which have the noisiest "bings" I have ever heard and which seemingly go off not only when the doors open but when the elevator passes a floor. (Yes, I get that visually impaired people can benefit from that, but those bings can happen inside the car.) I'm talking pings that wake you up repeatedly when you are two rooms down from the elevator. I couldn't even imagine being adjacent.
The other big negative is the air conditioners have lots of different settings but actually only work in two modes: MEAT LOCKER and OFF. Regardless of thermostat (which didn't change a thing) or the fan setting (auto, low, medium, high), the unit would either be noisy as hell (thus happily drowning out the elevator noise) or off. So you can sleep soundly while freezing or be awakened by bings all night while comfortable.
The breakfast area is nice and recently renovated. The property is still in the midst of a renovation which you should also be aware of if you're staying here soon.
The last thing to beware are hockey weekends where, evidently, things can get a bit out of control because they hand out a special form with rules during those weekends (because it's 5 minutes away from the Ice Rink.) We had some joker pull the firm alarm at 4AM (always popular) and that also interrupted our sleep.
The Wifi was free but slow. I paid $5 for the premium upgrade and it didn't seem to change anything.
The staff are very nice and I love the make-your-own waffle thing. But, other than that, meh.
