We were here with a corporate event, I can tell didn't come cheap at all. You expect a name like Waldorf Astoria, to have a reputation of polite and friendly staff, towards people who are respectful back at least.
Well, it wasn't the case here. During the week I had heard of multiple complaints about how the ballroom staff who is supposed to take care of the event was unfriendly or just didn't show up in a timely manner to offer their assistance. I thought maybe some people are a bit more demanding than others.
Until I had my own encounter with the 'friendliness' of the ballroom staff. A hotel staff member called Alfred replied to a request I made during our break down, with an attitude like no other. Rude at least, like he didn't care what I had to say about the mistake They made. I was not impressed to say the least, considering I didn't address him with a tone of voice. But I sure got a reply with major attitude.
Anyways, this put a real negative feel on the whole thing.
The Hotel building is nice as are the rooms. The hotel staff I met outside of the ballroom area was very nice and always helpful
