I've been a customer of Body Heat for a very very long time. I'm talking a decade. The tanning beds have always been pretty good and clean. The staff friendly enough. I cut them a little slack because I too was a teenage girl once. I recently got into spray tanning the last year or so even though I have always had access to everything in my monthly membership. On a couple of occasions this past year I have had bad experiences with the quality of my spray tans due to the nozzles not being cleaned properly at several locations. I come out looking extremely blotchy and uneven and have to shower it off immediately when I get home. We all know it's a process spraying and having to return home and rinse it off is particularly annoying and frustrating. I've kinda always just dealt with it because of how convenient the unlimited sprays are not having to make an appointment. And I only went here and there anyways. With that all being said,I am writing this review because of the carelessness and uncleanliness of the Durango and Warm Springs location. It was the final straw for me. I needed to get a spray before my work shift (which I have done in the past with no problem) I walk into Body Heat and immediately pull out money to tip, I ask the girl behind the counter to please make sure the nozzles are clean because the time prior at this location I came out severely speckled and blotchy. Being as I had to leave for work an hour afterwards I wanted to make sure it was even. She assured me that she had "left a note to make sure the day shift girls cleaned the nozzles due to complaints from other customers" the night prior. The fact she didn't even take the 30 seconds to go back and check was kinda like a slap in the face. I trusted her nonetheless. So I go back, get into the versa and what do you know, it's clogged and shooting tan solution all over me unevenly. I jump out, look down in horror and see what looks like someone dipped their hand in mud and spattered it all over my body. I walk out and show the girl that the machine indeed did EXACTLY what I was afraid of and her suggestion was to throw me BACK and double spray OVER the train wreck. No ma'am. I left, showered it completely off, was late to work and even worse than that, pale for a big weekend. I felt so uncomfortable and canceled my membership after 10 loyal years. The inconsistency of their spray tans is a thing that a lot of people are talking about and my advice to the business owners is to better train your staff or hire people who aren't lazy and who actually care. I will be spending a little extra money if need be and taking my business elsewhere unfortunately. Do better Body Heat.
