  • In Pitt for the weekend, a buddy recommended I should stop a Penn Brewery. Great, inexpensive beer ~ $3.50 (got the IPA and the Gold). Having never been to Pitt before, the brewery felt like a microcosm of the city; genuine, working class people in a historical, German-rooted neighborhood. Nothing really flashy, just a simple, neat place.
