I recently went to Sanity on the recommendation of a friend who had her hair cut by Beatrice. I wanted a change so I booked an appointment with her. My hair was shoulder length and very thick. She wasn't sure what to do and finally made a recommendation to lighten my hair and give it a fresh look. She showed me some photos of the style she thought would look good on me and I agreed. She started cutting my hair so fast it was scary. We had agreed on slightly trimming the sides but leaving them longer than the back. After the scissors she started using a razor and I commented that it sounded like she was removing a lot of hair. She assured me the sides would be swingy and it would look great. When she was done I told her I liked the back of my hair. I mentioned that she had removed a lot of hair. She told me she had to because my hair was thick. She also told me this was her "signature cut." Once I got home, I realized she had removed so much of my hair with the razor there was nothing to "swing" on the sides. It was also much shorter and my hair no longer looked pretty. I used to get compliments on my hair from complete strangers in stores. Now, it looks ordinary, short and frumpy. There are too many short ends especially on the left side, that no amount of styling with a brush or curling iron can fix. It has been 2 weeks since my hair was butchered and it is a struggle to get it to work in some kind of a style I can be seen in public in. My hair can't grow out fast enough and I will never go back to her.
I had been to Sanity in the past for massage, facials and pedicures, but never a hair cut.
