it's been an 8 year hiatus from del frisco's and... i am happy to announce that the quality and experience is still consistent.
dropped by saturday to celebrate my friend's birthday and wow did they make it memorable!
food and service were top notch (i think morgan? was super sweet!). my 8 oz filet was perfection. my friend who eats her steak literally right off of a cow (blue, rarest of the rare) was happy with her bone-in filet.
i did wish we were sat out in the main dining area so that we can hear the live music... instead we were placed in a separate room which was much quieter. the ambience was a little different.
they surprised my friend with a birthday treat which consisted of their version of buttercake (which tasted like a snickerdoodle cookie a-la-mode), warm brownie, AND another scoop of vanilla ice cream. i mean, wow! over the top service.
i did think our sides (del frisco potato and cream spinach) were a little bit more on the salty side, not sure if that can be adjusted, but next time i'll keep in mind to hold off on heavy salt.
the only regret? is that they don't have a location in southern california :(
